The FFCRA took effect on April 1, 2020 and will remain in effect until December 31, 2020.

The FFCRA includes theEmergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act,扩大FMLA假。必须雇用员工至少30天,并有“资格需求”。An employee has a “qualifying need” where he or she is unable to work or telework due to a need to care for a child under 18 years old where the child’s school or other place of care has been closed or is unavailable due to COVID-19.

Additionally, the FFCRA includes theEmergency Paid Sick Leave Act.Under this Act, full-time employees are entitled to 80 hours of paid sick time. Part-time employees are entitled to the average number of hours that the employee works over a two-week period.   2. The employee has been advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine due to concerns related to COVID–19;
