The Next Office Administration program will be offered in the Fall 2022 semester.


Brazosport College's Jumpstart Program focuses on intensive, hands-on training designed to help you enter a new career in a short amount of time. You may even qualify to have all of your course expenses, including tuition, books, tools, and lab materials, covered.
With Jumpstart, you will walk away with college credit hours, an Occupational Skills Award and any essential certifications. You will also have the opportunity to connect with employers at the conclusion of the program to get you into the workforce and on your way to a successful future.
All classes (credit and non-credit) for the Crafts Program for the Spring 2022 semester will be conducted on-campus.

Certification
Upon completion, participants will receive:
•Nine college credit hours
•An Occupational Skills Award from Brazosport College
•NCCER Core Curriculum Certification and Blue Card
•NCCER Level 1 Craft Helper Certification
•Basic Plus Certification

Only applicants meeting all requirements, including TABE Math scores, background checks and hair follicle drug testing will be eligible to attend orientation. Applicants with any college degrees (Associate's or higher) will not qualify. Applicants with "holds" on their record will not qualify unless "holds" are cleared before orientation.
No Cost to Eligible Students
All expenses are covered including costs for tuition, TABE Math testing, background checks, hair follicle drug testing, TWIC Cards, and State of Texas Electrical Apprenticeship Cards for those in the electrical program.
Limited Spaces
Seats in this program are limited. Only 10 participants will be accepted for each craft class. This is a grant-based program, therefore certain criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Jumpstart program.
The next Office Administration Program will not be offered until the Fall 2022 Semester. If you submit an application, you will be added to our Fall 2022 semester waitlist.
All classes (credit and non-credit) for the Office Administration Program for the Fall 2022 semester will be conducted on-campus.
12 Week Program

Start Date: Monday, August 29, 2022
End Date: Friday, November 18, 2022
Mon-Thursday: 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
Friday: 8:30 A.M. - Noon
Certification
Upon completion, participants may receive:
• Nine college credit hours
•An Occupational Skills Award from Brazosport College
•Microsoft Office Certification - Word Core*
•Microsoft Office Certification - Excel Core*
*If score of 700 or above is attained in certification exams. If a score of 800 or above is achieved in the Word Core Exam, the student is eligible to take the Word Expert Exam. If student scores 700 or above in the Word Expert exam, they will earn an additional three college credit hours for POFI 2301. Students must pass the Excel Certification exam of 700 or above to receive Excel Core Certification.

Certification
The cost of the NCPT Exam is part of the grant paid tuition. Students will have the equal opportunity to participate in the National Certification Exam:
• National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT)

Only applicants meeting all requirements, including TABE Reading scores, background checks, and panel interview will be eligible to attend orientation. Applicants with college degrees (Associate's or higher) willNOTqualify. You must have your High School Diploma or Equivalency. All required vaccinations must be taken prior to the start of the course. Please note the Hepatitis B vaccination is a 3 series shot that takes 6 months to complete.
No Cost to Eligible Students
All expenses are covered including costs for tuition, books, TABE testing, and background checks.
Limited Spaces
Seats in this program are limited. Only 15 participants will be accepted. This is a grant-based program, therefore certain criteria must be met in order to qualify for tuition assistance in the Jumpstart program.
SPRING 2022 SEMESTER
Applications for Spring 2022 semester are closed. Class is full.
Next Program will be Fall 2022. Future information will be updated later. You can still apply to get on the waitlist for the Fall Program.

Certification
The cost of the NCICS Exam is part of the grant paid tuition. Students will have the equal opportunity to participate in the National Certification Exam:
• National Insurance Coding Specialist Certificate (NCICS)

No Cost to Eligible Students
All expenses are covered including costs for tuition and TABE testing.

Seats in this program are limited. Only 12 participants will be accepted for Medical Billing and Coding program. This is a grant-based program, therefore certain criteria must be met in order to qualify for tuition assistance in the Jumpstart program.

Our Accelerate Texas VI grant does not allow for wrap around services. If you need any type of assistance while attending the JumpStart program, please contact our dedicated JumpStart counselor, Darlene Mack at 979-230-3418.
About Jumpstart
JumpStart is part of a Texas Workforce Commission Accelerate Texas VI grant. JumpStart programs will be conducted most semesters until the grant ends at the conclusion of the Spring 2023 semester.
