This program is completed in two parts – classroom lecture and hands-on training, followed by a Clinical training portion. Upon successful completion of the first part of the program, you will enroll in the Medical Assistant Clinical course (separate enrollment fee). During the clinical, you will be assigned to work in a clinical facility and receive hands-on training in the field. Prerequisites: At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) and acceptable criminal background. (Clinical enrollment requires all state required immunizations, CPR training and completed Healthcare Admissions Application.) After completing both components of the program, you will be qualified to sit for a national certification exam as a Medical Assistant (additional fee).
