水咨询信息

Based on information from the City of Lake Jackson Health Department and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, handwashing is safe from the municipal water source. Precautions should be taken to ensure that water does not go up the nose. Please note, however, that the “boil water” notice is still in effect. Therefore, water from the Lake Jackson municipal water source should not be consumed unless it has been disinfected by a rolling boil for 2 minutes. Care also should be taken not to consume (1) ice or drinks made with water that has not been disinfected, or (2) raw foods rinsed with water that has not been disinfected.

在校园获得学生支持服务

Fall 2020 classes are in full swing, and our focus shifts to ensuring our students have a successful semester as well as preparing for spring registration. Accessibility to campus-wide services for students who are on campus is critically important. Recognizing this, we have adjusted staffing plans to provide this accessibility to services. The goal is to have both on-campus and virtual access to college-wide services and to deliver these services in a safe manner. While on-campus staffing will still be limited, many offices which provide support services to students will be open such as, but not limited to, Admission & Registration, Bookstore, Business Office, Campus Safety, Cashier’s Office, Children’s Center, Counseling & Testing, Facility Services, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Library & Learning Services, Information Technology, School & College Partnership, Tommy’s Catering and Workforce Development.

正如我们在COVID-19的大流行中了解到的那样,我们必须保持灵活的牢记,我们必须继续进行调整,以便为我们的大学社区提供服务。以有限的人员配备开设办公室是我们希望最终可以完全回归正常运营的下一步。

TECHNOLOGY ACCESS AVAILABLE IN GATOR HALL

As the current supply of available hotspots has been depleted, students taking courses in any format or those having trouble with internet access, are able to use Gator Hall located in the center of BC Central. Gator Hall is available to students to access the college internet Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Students should bring their own laptop, and will be required to wear a mask/facial covering and adhere to social distancing requirements while on campus. Because the room has been arranged for social distancing, it is limited to thirty (30) students at a time. Disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies are available.
