We're back! Brazosport College is open for normal on-campus operations and face-to-face courses this Summer and Fall.

BRAZORIA COUNTYCOVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION

Per the Texas Department of State Health Services, as of Monday, March 29, 2021, anyone over 16 years of age is eligible to receive theCOVID-19 vaccine in Texas. TheCOVID-19 vaccine adds one more layer of protection for our students, staff, faculty and community and helps give us the best chance of getting “back tonormal” and staying that way. Please note, for the Pfizer vaccine, recipients must be 12 years of age or older. For the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, recipients must be 18 years of age or older.

CURRENT BRAZOSPORT COLLEGECOVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

We care about the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Brazosport College continues to take certain measures to minimize the spread ofCOVID-19.

  • TheCenter for Disease Control (CDC) guidelinesregarding the wearing of masks recently changed. Additionally, Governor Abbott issued a new executive order on May 18, 2021. Asa result of these changes,you are no longer required to wear a mask on the Brazosport College campus. If you wish to continue to wear a mask, please do so.
  • Effective June 1, 2021, daily online health screenings are no longer required; however, individuals should perform a self-health check prior to coming to campus and stay home if sick.
  • We will continue to follow guidance from the CDC and our state and local health departments,so it's vital that you check yourBrazosport College emailforupdates before heading to campus.
  • COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick. LocalCOVID-19 vaccine appointment information can be found atwww.www.d-onis.com/coronavirus/vaccine/.

Please continue following the CDC guidelines for prevention of theCOVID-19 Coronavirus, which includes, but not limited to, thorough hand washing, social distancing, and receivingCOVID-19 vaccinations.
