Nearly 600 students participate in BC’s Spring Commencement

Brazosport College recently celebrated its Spring Commencement at the Dow Academic Center on the campus of Brazosport College.
Two ceremonies were held, one for Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS) and Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) graduates, and another for Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) graduates.
A total of 571 students participated in the ceremonies. While a majority of graduates earned associate degrees, 88 students received Bachelor of Applied Technology degrees from BC’s Industrial Management and Health Services Management programs.
Melanie Mae Heard was recognized as the Associate of Arts Regents’ Scholar, while Soni Kae Anglin earned the Associate of Arts Vice President’s Scholar accolade. Justin Peel was recognized as the Associate of Applied Science President’s Scholar and Noe Ramos earned Associate of Applied Science Vice President’s Scholar status.
