BC campus welcomes nearly 500 kids for Dow’s Girls in STEM event
Brazosport College recently welcomed almost 500 local sixth graders and more than 100 volunteers to its campus for Dow Chemical Company's Girls in STEM Day event. BC Community Education served as hosts for the event. Students conducted science experiments, competed on robotics teams and participated in many other activities, as they learned about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Also featured at the event was KPRC Channel 2 News Meteorologist Caroline Brown, who provided an inspiring and empowering message during her keynote speech.
