Community reception for BC President Dr. Vincent Solis scheduled for Feb. 24

Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis

The community is invited to a reception welcoming new Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis on Feb. 24 at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College. The reception, which is a come-and-go event, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is being hosted by Brazosport College and the Brazosport College Foundation, in partnership with The Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County and the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Solis, who is the fifth president in Brazosport College’s 53-year history, assumed the position on Jan. 4.

Dr. Solis is a life-long educator with almost three decades of service in higher education. He earned a Doctor of Education in Bilingual Education; a Master of Science in Psychology; and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Texas A&M University – Kingsville in Kingsville, TX.

He previously served as the President of Western Nevada College in Carson City, NV, as well as the Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Services at Laredo College in Laredo, TX.
