Brazosport College wants to help you succeed in your educational effort by providing the services listed below. We are located adjacent to the Library. If you need assistance, please ask at the desk. We have a large computer lab, a testing center, a variety of equipment, expertise, and 3 large conference rooms.

We are pleased to offer testing services for our online students, distance learning students and make-up test for students who missed their exam due to an illness or an emergency.

Student Resources

Open Computer Lab

Learning Services offersan open computer lab with approximately40computers.

Software
Most software applications used on campus for labs, tutorials, practice,and assignments forcoursework are available on one or more of the computers. Additional software includes Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe CS7, and Skype.All computers can print front & back for $0.10 for black & white or $0.25 for color.

Hardware
We have a book scanner, multipage scanner, and a flatbed scanner as well as web cameras, interactive monitors and pads, and laser as well as color scanners.

Support
Our knowledgeable staff can assist you with computer access, computer use, scanners, and other technology services.

Generic Access
You do not need a BC account to access the internet or computer software.Please see the desk for more information.

Online Learning Support

A section of the computer lab is set aside for online course work. This is the one lab where tests and quizzes can be completed here with Respondus LockDown Browser. Additional tools including mics, headphones, webcams, touch-screens, and related software is available for use.

The Learning Services staff is available to assist with online course software. If you are not sure how to navigate or use BC's Virtual Campus/Desire2Learn or complete an assignment, the staff can assist you.

Tech Support Services

With an open computer lab with many software packages, the Learning Services staff can help with many computer and related technology issues. That includes the following:

Logging on bcnet, Virtual Campus vs. My BC.
Accessing the Virtual Campus/Desire2Learn
Using Microsoft Office
Using scanners, web cams, mics, and headsets
and more

Multicard reader
Photocopier - $0.10 per page
Laminator - $0.50 per foot, 3 feet minimum - Current BC ID
Staplers including extra thick & long reach
Hole punches
Large tape dispensers
Headphones including Y adapters so 2 can listen at the same time
